Personal Statement regarding Feminism

I would like to provide a statement regarding my position on feminism as it will provide a context for future articles I write regarding feminism.

I would identify as a moderate feminist. I do not believe that women are better than men. I do not believe that men are better than women. Both genders are equal, and neither gender should be putting the other down. And both genders should be aware that not all people identify as male or female. They instead identify along the spectrum.  I do not assume that males and females are exactly the same either though. Certain biological truths are there that need to be acknowledged. Muscle mass of women is less than men, and women may react differently and show their thought processes differently than men. However, it is important to realize that these generalizations do not apply to every single male or every single female. They are simply the "average" .  Women can have greater muscle mass than a man. Being a male is not a qualifier for being stronger. Being a women is not a qualifier for being emotional. One cannot assume the average for every man or woman that they meet. Essentially, gender should not play a role in decisions and when judging an individual's capabilities, as their is no way to actually accurately judge the person with the stereotypes. See the individual and how they stack up to requirements, and not the gender as there is a good chance that the person does not fall into the stereotypes.
